Retirement nest egg include amounts saved in tax-deferred accounts, tax-free accounts, after tax accounts and all other areas of savings that an individual has designated to go towards financing his or her retirement years.

An individual’s retirement nest egg can also include property, such as a home, land and other valuables that can be used to help finance retirement.
